Outside of an increase in foliage draw distance, PS4 and PS4 Pro are identical in terms of quality settings across the board, and it mirrors the ultra preset on PC nicely. The quality matches up to what you can get on PC with the same resolution. Graphics-wise, the game uses the same temporal AA solution utilised on the 1080p PS4 version, which removes almost all aliased surfaces, making for a very sharp and clean presentation. Unfortunately, as Digital Foundry analysis reveals, performance isn't great. Skyrim: Special Edition is among the few games that mange to render at a full 3840x2160 4K resolution on PS4 Pro. The PlayStation 4 Pro version of Skyrim: Special Edition should please those looking for the best-looking Skyrim on current-gen consoles, but not the ones sensitive to frame-rate drops.
